School counselors may be the crucial link between students and their chances for rewarding careers. However, meeting the needs of today's increasingly diverse students is a challenge that requires a highly efficient system of service delivery. The nine programs described in this report have been especially successful in assisting students with their career development. An introduction describes best practices and strategies used by these programs for promoting the three areas of career development process: (1) self-knowledge, (2) education and career exploration, and (3) decision-making. These programs are excellent models for any school interested in enhancing its career
