This interim report presents preliminary findings from a study of environmental hazardous materials (EHM) technicians and related personnel. The research provides an assessment of unmet demand for environmental hazardous materials technicians and related workers; identifies the skills and knowledge required of personnel in these positions; and provides a vehicle for communicating this information to individuals in government, industry, and education who are responsible for planning and developing technician-level training and education programs.
