Educational Needs and Employment Trends of Environmental Hazardous Materials Technicians and Related Workers

Efforts to address the employment and educational needs for Hazardous Materials Technicians have recently grown among educators and industry representatives. This study identifies anticipated trends in demand and current skill requirements and discusses the role that community colleges play in training such personnel. The conclusions of this report, including specific skill requirements and industry's employment expectations, are useful for planning and implementing successful occupational education programs.
