Vocational Education: Germany and the United States

V. D. Rust, H. F. Silberman, M. B. Weiner (Eds.)

This volume is an outgrowth of a symposium held in Los Angeles, California, from November 16-18, 1989. A number of individuals central to vocational education in Germany and the United States were in attendance. Discussions centered around two themes: vocational education and the dignity of work. This volume is divided into four sections: Sections I and II provide an introduction and a number of conceptual papers, Section III gives a number of case studies, and Section IV provides the reader with some comparative input between Germany and the United States.
