This working paper, originally prepared for presentation at the 1989 AVA Convention, describes what has been learned from a number of case studies about trainer "certification" (preparation) programs in business and industry. The information presented in this paper is part of a larger project underway at NCRVE to examine the nature of excellent vocational educators who work in the business and industry sector.
