In 1990, the Commission on Work Force Excellence was charged with assessing Mississippi's systems for preparing a well-educated and well-trained workforce. As part of its work, the commission undertook an evaluation of Mississippi's secondary and postsecondary vocational education system. To conduct the evaluation, the Commission contracted with NCRVE to conduct a yearlong study of the condition of vocational education in Mississippi. This report summarizes those findings.
