by David Carlson

New Items and Features Appear on the NCRVE World Wide Web Server

NCRVE has created a central source for information about commercial publications by NCRVE authors. Five items are listed to date. Check it out at http://ncrve.berkeley.edu/Commercial/.

Information about the VOCNET listserv has been expanded to include instructions on how to subscribe; links have also been added to allow searching of the last several months of VOCNET discussion via DejaNews, a nifty newsgroup search engine on the Web. See http://ncrve.berkeley.edu/VOCNET.html.

Also new is a nascent page of links to useful vocational education-related internet sites. Please check out the current (small) collection (at http://ncrve.berkeley. edu/OtherSites.html) and feel free to pipe in with your own suggestions (to dcarlson@uclink. berkeley.edu).

Here are some other items added to the Web in April-June:

VOCNET and DISSMN8 Continue to Grow

VOCNET, NCRVE's listserv discussion list for all voc ed topics, had about 1,465 subscribers at the end of June, up 3% from April 1, 1996. Approximately 486 items were posted in April-June, by 260 different users.

DISSMN8, NCRVE's listserv discussion list for educational dissemination-related topics, boasted 102 subscribers at the end of June. If you are interested in having input on what a National Educational Dissemination System (NEDS) might look like, please join in.
