This two-hour videotape is of a teleconference broadcast in September of 1989. Its purpose was to stimulate ideas about how vocational education affects the development of local, state, and national economies. Two nationally recognized experts examined the potential contributions of vocational education: Roger Vaughan, an economist specializing in public policy issues, and Jim Hunt, past governor of North Carolina and former chair of national task forces on technological innovation and education for economic growth. This videotape was produced at the University of Minnesota site.
