This document was prepared with input from secondary school principals and administrators from across the United States. It was written for individuals and school divisions that are contemplating or are in the process of integrating academic and vocational education. The following topics are addressed: (1) major goals, (2) historical justification, (3) practical definitions, (4) possible barriers, (5) cooperative efforts between teachers, (6) roles of the key players, (7) the implementation process, and (8) "what works." Finally, the document contains a consolidated list of references as well as transparency masters.
