This article was reprinted from The Journal of Vocational Education Research (Vol. 16, No. 1). An examination was made of leadership behaviors exhibited by successful secondary and postsecondary vocational education administrators. Administrators from seven states, as well as instructors who worked with them, were interviewed to identify enriched descriptions of vocational administrative leadership roles. Patterns and themes were identified, and are presented in tables as well as in the text.
